Blending modern living with the comfort and familiarity of classic elements, this home renovation transformed a tired and dated home both inside and out.
The clients, both successful professionals, approached Bella Vie Interiors with architects plans and a builder already engaged for the proposed renovation of their home.
Tired of living in the home that had suited their now grown family, their brief was to bring a contemporary feel with a neutral palette to showcase their art and artefacts collected from a lifetime of travel. The home had to feel light and bright without being glossy white and minimalist.
This beautifully renovated home with its Hampton’s inspired interior is a gorgeous haven for a Mum and her three young children. With gaudy colours and a seriously outdated kitchen, you're not going to believe how it looked before this amazing transformation took place.
Seduced by city and mountain views, a Brisbane family moved into this Queenslander
with one thing in mind – to renovate it and make it their own.
When they moved into the house in 2008, red featured heavily on the walls throughout. What they really wanted was to create an interior with a contemporary feel that reflected the typical Queenslander exterior. Built over three levels the bottom two levels were predominantly updated early on, leaving the top living area to be completed in the final renovation. It’s taken eight years but finally their home is finished.
A well-designed laundry is a big plus in my books – we certainly spend enough time in there! It needs to be practical and functional to meet the demands of family living and beautiful enough to entice us in there.
Here’s my main considerations when it comes to creating a laundry that is both functional and beautiful.
There’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all bathroom solution, but there are certain elements that can help to deliver the bathroom of your dreams.
A bathroom is a place for reflection and relaxation, to unwind at the end of a busy day and to beautify us for the day ahead. To face the demands of modern living, bathrooms need to be customised to meet individual client needs.
More so now than ever, clients’ want the day spa experience created in their own home, but creating the ideal bathroom isn’t as straightforward as replicating an inspirational luxury hotel bathroom.
So how do you create a bathroom that meets your needs and is big on style?
Today I want to share something pretty amazing with you. When I first started Bella Vie Interiors I had a goal to become an Award-winning designer. I even shared this goal with my builder who was also just starting out on his own. Fast-forward a few years and after a lot of long hours and hard work, together we achieved this goal.
I'm taking you behind the scenes to see what goes into an Award-winning House. I'll take you through the Design Statement we submitted for the awards and you’ll be amazed at how much value we added to their house and at how much it transformed our clients’ lives.
First a little about the awards...
