I'm so excited to share the images of our latest bathroom project with you all! It may come as a surprise to some, that not all homes in Queensland are Queenslanders. Situated in a 70's three-level home in Stafford Heights, this bathroom was the first ever renovation undertaken by our clients.
Bella Vie Interiors was engaged to reinvent the family bathroom located on the top level. Our client, Megan, desperately wanted her bathroom to be a spa-like retreat she could relax in after a long day at work.
Blending modern living with the comfort and familiarity of classic elements, this home renovation transformed a tired and dated home both inside and out.
The clients, both successful professionals, approached Bella Vie Interiors with architects plans and a builder already engaged for the proposed renovation of their home.
Tired of living in the home that had suited their now grown family, their brief was to bring a contemporary feel with a neutral palette to showcase their art and artefacts collected from a lifetime of travel. The home had to feel light and bright without being glossy white and minimalist.
Planning is essential when it comes to renovating a small bathroom. From small bathroom designs and layout, to bathroom colour ideas to make your bathroom look larger, there is an abundance of small bathroom ideas available to help with planning your next bathroom renovation. Working out exactly what you need to know is quite often the challenge.
Fortunately, there are some simple renovation tips for small bathrooms that really help create the illusion of space.
Seduced by city and mountain views, a Brisbane family moved into this Queenslander
with one thing in mind – to renovate it and make it their own.
When they moved into the house in 2008, red featured heavily on the walls throughout. What they really wanted was to create an interior with a contemporary feel that reflected the typical Queenslander exterior. Built over three levels the bottom two levels were predominantly updated early on, leaving the top living area to be completed in the final renovation. It’s taken eight years but finally their home is finished.
A well-designed laundry is a big plus in my books – we certainly spend enough time in there! It needs to be practical and functional to meet the demands of family living and beautiful enough to entice us in there.
Here’s my main considerations when it comes to creating a laundry that is both functional and beautiful.
It’s a well-known fact that the modern kitchen is the heart of the home. It’s possibly the busiest room in any home and the place that brings families and friends together. For this reason, it’s important that a kitchen not only looks beautiful but its functionality needs to suit your lifestyle and family dynamics.
A beautiful, modern and functional kitchen is also one of the features many buyers desire when looking to purchase a new home and we’ve all heard the saying kitchens and bathrooms sell homes.
A new kitchen can be expensive but it can also add significant value to a property when it comes time to sell so it’s important to get the space right. Many people take months in the planning stages before embarking on a new kitchen. So how do you ensure you're off to a good start with your kitchen renovation?
